The trek

The youth and many of the adults in our ward hard a great oppertunity to go to Wyomming and walk where the pioneers walked.  As we had heard one Sunday this was a faith growing event for the youth and the leaders that went.  I thought I would share with you the thought bishop gave in teh youth newsletter and then how some pictures of the event so everyone can enjoy.

All who attended the trek were richly rewarded with the Lord’s tender mercies.  Walking in the footsteps of the pioneers is walking on hallowed ground.  No other experience can better convey their resolve and commitment thus helping to enhance our own.  While there was a good deal of fun and conversation the most impactful moments where those of silence: sister Jackson struggling up the hill, Martin’s Cove, the river crossing, and the women’s pull.  I encourage all who attended to write down their thoughts about the trek and more importantly how the events made them feel.  It was a rare opportunity that I hope will be reflected upon and cherished forever.
Bishop Jackson

Here are some of the pictures of the trek and the wonderful time that they had.
